US Fish and Wildlife Service and assorted waterfowl biologists who have had no involvement with trumpeter swan reintroductions in the Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Iowa have proposed a very inadequate proposal that could lead to creation of a trumpeter swan hunting season! FMSNA has submitted a comment opposing this proposal (see pdf file below). Comment deadline is October 15, 2017.
