Thank you for your strong commitment to Minnesotans and our environment throughout your years of public service. We are looking forward to continuing to work together to ensure all Minnesotans and our air, water, land, and climate thrive.

We are writing to express our support for Rep. Todd Lippert to be appointed as Chair of the House Agriculture Committee.

​

Representative Lippert has clearly demonstrated his commitment to strengthening and stewarding our environment through agriculture, investing in rural communities and our farm and food system, and advancing environmental, racial, and economic justice.

​

Rep. Lippert has been and will continue to be a champion for:

●  Agricultural solutions to the climate crisis, as demonstrated by his work within the House Climate Action Caucus.

●  Pollinators and pollinator habitat.

●  Building soil health, expanding continuous living cover, and cleaning our water.

●  Economic justice for farmers and farm and food system workers.

●  Land access for beginning farmers, particularly BIPOC Minnesotans.

●  Intentionally advancing racial, economic, and environmental justice in each bill he works on.

●  Providing immediate and transformational solutions to farmers in financial crisis.

 

Appointing Rep. Lippert as the chair of the Agricultural Committee would be a strong signal to Minnesotans, particularly rural Minnesotans and farmers, that the Minnesota House Majority is fighting for our climate, land, water, and air, racial and economic justice, and a Minnesota where all people thrive.
